Protecting your business with Apex Insurance can also help protect New Zealand’s waterways. Apex donates 20% of any revenue from any new policies from SBN members to supporting the Million Metres Streams Project.

We have partnered with the Sustainable Business Network’s Million Metres Streams initiative from its earliest days. Million Metres Streams has set out on a mission to restore at least a million metres of waterways in Aotearoa, New Zealand with native forest. Million Metres is New Zealand’s only dedicated programme for connecting local waterway restoration projects with large scale funding and resources. Their purpose is to connect and resource Kiwi’s to accelerate quality waterway restoration.

Sustainability Charter

At Apex, we believe in the importance of being an environmentally conscious business and we are committed to being a sustainable business.

Our long term objectives are to remain carbon neutral, and by doing so, being an industry leader in sustainability.

Apex General has committed to:

  • Support a sustainability community based project every year;

  • Work towards reducing our paper wastage, energy consumption and petrol omissions from our vehicles;

  • Be active members of the Sustainable Business Network by:

    • Demonstrating that we take sustainability seriously;

    • Constantly increasing our knowledge around sustainability;

    • Developing like-minded business connections;

    • Aiming to win sustainability awards;

    • Getting appropriate assistance when needed, with such things as Carbon offsets and fleet selection;

  • Support other sustainability initiatives such as carboNZero, Hilary Outdoors, Rotoroa Island, Million Metres Streams Projects and;

  • Develop sustainability influenced insurance products.
